About French Language Teacher, Daouda Camara
Daouda Camara is an accomplished teacher of French and African languages. For twenty-three years he has taught a wide range of adult learners on three continents. His students have included Peace Corps volunteers, Finnish missionaries, and health professionals. He has taught at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and in high schools from San Francisco to Dakar.
Daouda’s language experiences include translating complex documents for programs in forestry, health, environmental education, small enterprise development and urban management. He also introduced Peace Corps teaching methods and strategies to French and African language teachers.
Currently, Daouda teaches French at Drew High School in San Francisco; he is enthusiastic about bringing his innovative teaching methods to Maria Oliveira’s Language Learning Center.
